Spock was cute, but IMHO Brent Spiner is Dead Sexy. In or out of the
Data makeup. (I loved his cameo in _ID4_.)

Ooo, yes! It's a _much_ better introduction to Snape as a character.

The Spouse hadn't read the book when we saw the movie together
(confession: I had read the first book, twice, but I hadn't read the
others yet at the time - the movie was the impetus that made me buy
and read the other three in hardback instead of waiting for the
paperback of GoF to be available), and I didn't have to explain very
much to him. (He devoured the other books shortly after I did, to
his credit.)

I just couldn't get past the scene when The Spouse and I
simultaneously turned to each other and whispered "There's no
amontillado in here!" ;)
