Don't think that I mentioned at the time that I think Petunia may have
accidentally blown up Aunt Marge - she certainly had a motive in
interrupting Harry.
On the other hand, it might be tricky to work a leap year into the
timeline, either if JKR is trying to keep the actual years of events
as open as possible (not directly saying what year it is) or if she is
working on a particular timeline.
Anyway, my husband insists that he be given some credit for inspiring
the theory. He's a leap year baby - jokes about celebrating his eighth
birthday (or eighth and a quarter, or whatever) come with the package,
so I've been toying with this from the first time I read the books and
wondered if he would get his letter in time. Guess I should
acknowledge G&S too. ;-)
