That is the most common topping for pavlova, yes, though crumbled up
chocolate is also very popular. They can be made from scratch, and the egg
shaped kits are still available as well, but nowadays most people tend to
buy prepared pavlova shells and just add the topping.
You can also buy small Pavlovas at some supermarkets and now I am going to
on my way home - I've done an exam today. I deserve a treat.
