Hi all...
Can I have your comments on the following. Do you think it is harsh... do
you think it is untrue, or do you think Jo could do more to meet her fans?
Please read the short piece of text below... and feel free to comment on
it, either on here (if Penny does not mind - as it is a related topic)
or direct to me at: nick at nicmit.com

Adults, some with children in tow, waited on the platform for hours to
see the author they love. Many fans waited, even in the rain, to see
Jo at Didcot. Their reward for waiting was a brief glimpse of Jo posing
for the media, and passing at lightning speed surrounded by bodyguards
between the safety of the railway carriages. Jo is not the only one who is
'fan shy' , even the publishers official fan club didn't bother letting
members know about the events of last Saturday.
J.K. Rowling may be a price winning author, but she won't be receiving
any awards for her PR skills. Young and old fans alike had hoped to meet
the author they adore... but very few got the chance. Instead of making
Harry Potter models, LEGO should make a model of J.K. Rowling. At least
her fans could then say they have seen her!

Thanks
