I think Hagrid is the only one who has a regional accent in my head,
because of the way he's written. It is sort of 'Cockney/West Country'
-oriented. I usually think of Long John Silver, the pirate speaking
really loudly? "Har, Har, Me Hearties!!!" "Ooo-Ar, Jim Lad!"... that
type of thing. I can imagine Jim Dale doing something like that...

The Weasleys, a bit like Hagrid, are from a non-Muggle environment, so I
give them nondescript, downmarket accents - possibly West Country/Welsh,
though.

The Dursleys are dead common - nouveau riche, I'd say: Londoners who
moved to Surrey and try to behave like suburban snobs...

Hermione is posh, middle-class (with a name like that, she's not going
to have a Brum accent - that's from Birmingham for those scratching
their heads)

Snape could be Scottish - a very cultured, Edinburgh would suit him.
