Why??????? Are you jealous of the current dating
partner/spouse/romantic interest of every person you've ever had a crush
on or dated? People do get over lost loves. They don't always retain
the friendship with that person, but when they do retain the friendship,
it's generally because they're able to put their past romantic interest
& subsequent break-up, problems, jealousies, etc. aside.

I'm very happy for some of my former romantic interests . . . . and
there's not even a hint of jealous feeling on my part when I see them
happy with another person.

This is my experience as well, Penny. There are several of my x's out there, one of which I will discuss. I was with the man three years, quite seriously. We started running into some major relationship conflicts (one of which was I was placed on Paxil, which messed ME up, another was he had amnesia due to a succession of seizures in November), and the engagement died out in May. In June through September, we had a strained relationship due to outside forces (the father of my son, his (soon-to-be wife) whom Bear loved, etc... pure Days of our Lives things). When I discovered my pregnancy, and Bear finally got with Angel (two things about 4 monthes apart, Bear became on of the best friends I could have had. We are still friends over three years later--and he is still with Angel, (Mike's wife from the above sentence). Btw, Mike and Angel AREN'T friends! Bear on the other hand is the godfather of my son.

It does work that way sometimes. (And, if this has confused you, don't worry. Those of us who lived it are confused too!)

LOL
