I know I'm running the risk of a *me too* post here, but...>

I agree. It's Harry she yanks back into his chair during the World
Quidditch cup when the veela induce him to try to jump out, not Ron.
She looks furious after the second task when Fleur kisses Ron--and
Harry. I'm not using this as evidence to bolster any particular
theory that she likes Harry, just that she she has a tendency to get
annoyed when either of her two best friends, who happen to be male,
exhibit typical adolescent boy behavior around Fleur.

Me neither. (There, that wasn't a 'me too'! that was a 'me neither!')
I will certainly buy that Harry appreciates Ron and Hermione in
different ways, but not that he cares for one of them more than the
other. That would invalidate, in my opinion, what we know of their
friendship.

will have the perfect romantic relationship. Those "cute endearing
little spats" could turn into some very ugly & bitter arguments that
won't be the least bit cute when Ron's insecurities & jealousies are
triggered by Hermione's successes.

They aren't even all that cute and endearing at the moment. At one
point in GoF, Harry takes refuge in the empty owlery just to get away
from Ron and Hermione's sniping. To me, that just sounds depressing
and is an indicator of why their relationship wouldn't work. I stick
to my original point that if a Ron/Hermione relationship is ever
going to succeed, Ron needs to be given some area in which he can
excel, stand out, and feel proud first. Be it Quidditch or chess (as
Peg and I both suggested earlier); it hardly matters. At the moment
he's a tightly-wound ball of insecurities living in the shadow of his
famous brothers and friend. A girlfriend who is brilliant, sucessful,
and Head Girl (just guessing here)would just compound the problem.
