Possibly. However,
1) Harry didn't know about it until someone else told him so.
Never mind that someone being Dumbledore at this point!
2) At this point Harry doesn't trust any adult enough to tell
him/her about his scar hurting, nor has he reason to, not yet.
3) Did he speak disrespectively of Harry's father already? - if he
did, it's obvious why Harry doesn't - can not trust him. So far
Harry's only trusted Hagrid (who speaks of the late Potters with
respect) - is beginning to build up to Dumbledore due to Hagrid's
near-worship of the Headmaster.
4) Snape's an adult - Harry's a child. Therefore, Snape ought to take
the first steps, not Harry.
5) Harry was suspecting Snape until he saw and defeated Quirrell!
After that, he's under Madam Pomfreys care and too tired to go
anywhere, until taking the train back!
6) If I'm not mistaken, Harry's still doubtful of Snape (and his
godfather has an issue against Snape as well, prof. Lupin who did
save Harry from dementors (Harry was thanking him, right?) isn't
exactly friends with Snape either...
