When Ron does his infamous "Hermione, Neville's right, you *are* a girl"
routine, that's just plain rude and annoying, and there's no reason to
assume that she must feel annoyed because of her romantic interest in the
guy.

Ron's actions up to that point are extremely rude,

Ok, I agree with you that it's really too soon to tell who feels what for
who, but lighten up on Ron! Let's all keep in mind here that he was 14
during this scene. Perhaps you were an exception amoung 14 year old boys but
most of them are just barely out of their "Boys are better than girls! Girls
are icky!" faze. The tone of this scene is far different from when Ron and
Hermoine were at each others throats over Scabbers in PoA. Ron obviously
wasn't intending to be rude, he's just a boy figuring out for the first time
that Hermione isn't just one of the guys. Whether or not he likes her
romantically is a different issue. I do think he's leaning that way by the
end when Hermione and Krum are saying good-bye and Ron watches them to see
what they're doing... but that's not the point! Ron justs acts like a
typical 14 year old, and to those of us who are older and wiser that may
appear to be rude and annoying. Realistically he's relatively normal. As for
Hermione's feelings, 14 year old boys are too oblivious to ponder the girls
feelings. Obviously Hermione doesn't understand Ron's feelings either. She
clearly thought him slighting her was personal, but once again he is a
typical 14 year old boy. He just doesn't get it, as Harry observed after the
fight was over.
