Well, why isn't there? I can certainly see that JKR might be setting
up a situation where Draco makes a choice to turn away from blood and
not embrace evil and opt not to be a Death Eater and follow in
Snape's footsteps and turn spy. Why is that unreasonable? It might be
unlikely, but they're not the same thing.

You know, I've only heard this kind of thing from one person - a
friend of mine, who supports a variety of ships, including some that
would defeat each other, had lunch with someone who ships
Harry/Ginny, which some people here and elsewhere believe is canon
(or at least, will happen in canon). The H/G Shipper said that she
wouldn't read the books if JKR didn't pair Harry with Ginny.
I've never heard that kind of statement from any of the fanfic
writers I know - and it's certainly not something I would support as
a concept either.
