7th sons of 7th sons, summer jobs

hi everyone
I just recently joined the group and have beek "lurking" for a week or 
so, trying to get a feel of what's been discussed, theories, etc. I am 
impressed at the range of ideas expressed here! I have had some 
trouble figuring out how to follow the chain of archived 
conversations, though, so forgive me if I am repeating things :)

I am very interested in the idea of Ron as a seventh son. From what I 
know, 7th sons of 7th sons are supposed to be seers, healers, and/or 
lucky. ( anyone know a lot about them?) It seems like a fair 
possibility for Ron, given the strange gap in Weasley births between 
Charlie and Percy, which seems to have occured during the early 70's, 
when Voldemort's terror was running high, and a possible extra son 
could have been killed. Also, it doesn't seem right, IMO, that Ron has   
no special talent or aspect of his personality at all, chess excepted.   
I know the idea has been discussed, I would like to know why people 
don't agree with this idea. 

On another subject, I wonder if the Dursley's are going to make Harry 
get some sort of summer job to pay for his upkeep, now that he is 
geting older. Does anyone know the age at which you can start working 
in Britain?
