I don't think so.  I think first and foremost, the Hat weighs what it 
sees in the child.  Imho, the only reason Harry got to 'choose' his 
house was because there was potential in him for more than one match, 
that the fact that he chose not to be lured into Slytherin by 
promises of glory and fame simply highlighted the aspects of him that 
placed him in Gryffindor (whereas being lured would have colored him 
a Slytherin through and through).  Does that make sense?
