I like the idea that the Malfoys actually do have one or two other 
children, perhaps slightly younger than Draco.  (Not too many kids, 
though, or Draco's taunts about the Weasleys having more kids than 
they could afford don't make sense.)  These Malfoy siblings could 
have a problem that causes Lucius not to speak about them much:  they 
are squibs.  They never received a Hogwarts letter, and their very 
existence undermines Lucius' view that being a pureblood is 
important.  

I also like the idea of Narcissa being a trophy wife.  If she married 
Lucius (an older man) the day she graduated from Hogwarts, and then 
she had Draco as soon as possible thereafter, then she would be 33 
(18 + 1 + 14) at the end of GoF.  Somehow, I like the idea that 
someone 33 can still be called a trophy wife.
