Funny, I just read that last night also and I found myself wondering in
passing if maybe the Fat Lady and Vi were more than just "friends?" I
wonder where the portraits go when they want to snog? :)
Something I'm wondering: the kids of Harry's generation don't seem to know
much at all about the way things were when Voldemort was in power. They
wind up hearing most of their information first hand from grownups.
Wouldn't the older Weasleys have been old enough--i'm not sure about Bill
and Charlie's ages, but I'm guessing they'd've been around 8 or 9 at the
time Voldemort was vanquished--wouldn't they have been able to provide a
lot more info to their younger siblings about what times were like when
Dark Lord was around? If nothing else, it sounds like something a younger
Bill would have used to scare Percy, Gred and Forge on Halloween, and been
passed down as a kind of lore. We don't hear a lot about that aspect of
Voldemort's first reign, and that puzzles me. Thoughts on why this is?
