I would speculate then and extrapolate that Olivander is a
person who is in the "inner-folds" with Dumbledore. And if that
is true, then Dumbledore would have probably shared with him that
Riddle was in fact Voldemort and to be looking for whomever
purchased the second wand.

I would tend to think Olivander knew this, otherwise, why would
he offer the second wand to Harry (i.e. "I Wonder...") and then be 
able to tell him all about it and mention the person who he sold
the first wand too.
