I've tried to post this before but it apparently didn't work, maybe third time's the charm? Sorry if it was posted and I'm repeating myself...newbie blunders...

Although there is no hard proof, I think Hagrid took Harry to the Leaky Cauldron. In SS/PS, when Hagrid brings Harry into the Leaky Cauldron before going to Diagon Alley, Tom says (paraphrasing) "Welcome back, Mr. Potter, welcome back." So unless Harry's been to London & the Leaky Cauldron before, which is a possibility if Lily and James took him there as a baby, the day after the murders is about the only other time Harry could have been in the Leaky Cauldron. Unless while on a shopping trip to London, Aunt Petunia and the boys just happen to slip in the LC for a bit of lunch? wouldn't that have been a hoot?
