I think it's possible that Lucius knows perfectly well that Pettigrew 
was the spy, and not Sirius.  Maybe he didn't know at the time, but 
since he saw Peter at Voldy's rebirth, he certainly knows now. I 
don't think he would ever come forward to say Sirius was wrongly 
imprisoned.  For one thing, he'd have to show where he got this 
information from, and consequently, would at least arouse suspicions 
that he was a DE. It's much more convenient for Malfoy and his fellow 
DEs to try to let Sirius take the blame for the Potters' deaths.

And, secondly, even though Sirius is out of prison, if he can't clear 
his name, his usefulness to Dumbledore and Harry is somewhat limited 
as he's got to constantly worry about his own safety.
