Ah, hadn't thought of that.  Voldemort is NOT older than Dumbledore--
he's about 90 years younger in fact--but the real question, I 
suppose, is how old is Fawkes?  And the answer, from what little I 
know about phoenixes (phoenices? <g>), is darn close to immortal.  He 
could've donated thousands of feathers down the years.

Still, we have it on good authority that he did not.  I'll take Mr. 
O's word for it but keep an eye open.
