Hi everyone!

I love callingin sick to work, 'cause then I can catch up on all the
important thigns in life! <grin>

Perhaps this is just me, but I keep my old textbooks. They are great
references for later courses and for later when you are in the
<giggle> real world, to look for things that you know you really
ought to know, but just forget. But that could be just for technical
jobs, well, I'm a firefighter, and that's not technical like computer
technical, but things don't change that much that often, so i can use
my old books to look stuff up. So therefore, the Weasley kids would
all have to have their old books. "Damn, I haven't levitated
anything in forever, what was that spell (charm, whatever)?"

Wouldn't it just be magical if Harry was related to his lesser-arch-
emeny Draco by virtue of his mother actually being a magical muggle
who is related to Lily (and Petunia) Evans? I would jump up and down
and cheer! But to whomever suggested it, good catch on the flower
thing :)

I am quite looking forward to November 16th. I think I've already
said this somewhere, but I accept that a movie production must take
some creative license and therefore will change some things we deem
unchangeable for the sake of making the pages come alive on the
screen. I loved both the book and movie versions of The Princess
Bride. Blowing up a movie theatre to demonstrate your dislike for
the making of a movie is completely, totally and in all other ways,
incontheivable.

I got the "real" versions of the books in the mail the other day! I
am so excited. While I had to go out and look for a place to live
and haven't actually read all 4 of them yet, I have read PS and loved
the fact that Harry taped his glasses with Sellotape and Dudley's new
word was "shan't". Being from a British Commonwealth, yah Kiwis, and
transplanted to the States, seeing English english being used in
print is such a treat. I want Harry to go on a portkey/floopowder
journey to New Zealand before next march, so when I go back for my
cousins wedding, I can say I went to somewhere Harry has been. :)

Most of my friends think I am nuts ... but a grown woman (well, as
grown as a 24 year old can be) should be able to have Harry Potter
sheets on her bunk at the Fire Station without being made fun of!

Michelle :) <---wishes she didn't swear off boys younger than
her ... I'd give <insert who you want Harry to end up with here> a
run for their money :)
