Because I seem to have no life besides the computer, I came up with
an...ahem...alternate version of the summary. You can find it here:

I will post the Chapter 4 summary on Tuesday. Anyways, onward with the
normal summary...
Chapter 3 - The Burrow
Harry looks out of his bedroom window to see Ron sitting in a car, parked in
midair. Ron says that hes here because he was worried about having no word
from Harry all summer. Harry explains that the Dursleys wont let him out
and asks Ron to tell the Ministry. Ron replies that he, George, and Fred are
there to bring Harry with them to the Weasley home.
Fred throws Harry a rope and Harry ties it around the bars on his window.
Without any trouble, the Flying Ford Anglia pulls the bars off. George and
Fred pick the lock to Harrys room and help Harry put his things in the
Anglia. Just as Harry gets ready to get in the flying car, Hedwig lets out a
screech that wakes the Dursleys up. Harry grabs Hedwig, who he nearly
forgot, and Vernon breaks down the door. He grabs Harry by the ankle, but
Ron, Fred, and George manage to pull Harry into the Anglia.
As Harry, Ron, George, and Fred fly to the Burrow, Harry tells them about
Dobby, the warning, and the problem with the violet pudding. They all think
over what it means and speculate that Draco Malfoy may be behind it. The
Weasleys tell Harry about how odd Percy has been acting during the summer
and about Arthur Weasleys job at the Ministry.
They land the Anglia at the Burrow. They exit the car and see Mrs. Weasley
marching towards them. She yells at Fred, George, and Ron about taking the
car. After she shouts herself hoarse, Mrs. Weasley welcomes Harry and tells
them all to go in for breakfast. When they enter the kitchen, Harry notices
the clock that doesnt tell the time, the cooking books on the mantelpiece,
and the wizarding radio.
They eat breakfast. Ginny enters the kitchen in her nightdress but leaves
very quickly, and Ron explains about how shes been talking about him all
summer. Mrs. Weasley punishes George, Fred, and Ron to de-gnome the garden
and tells Harry that he can go to sleep. However, he decides to help the
twins and Ron. Before they go, Mrs. Weasley pulls out Lockharts book to see
what he has to say on de-gnoming and Fred says that she fancies him.
The Weasleys and Harry go out to de-gnome the garden and Harry sees his
first gnome. Ron shows Harry how to grasp the gnomes by the ankles, swing
them around his head, and let them go. He explains that this doesnt hurt
the gnome, just makes them dizzy so they cant find their gnomeholes
quickly.
They finish de-gnoming the garden and Mr. Weasley comes home from night
raids at work. Mrs. Weasley confronts her husband about the Anglia and
starts to yell at him. Ron and Harry go upstairs.
Ron shows Harry his room. Its nearly all orange, since its covered wall to
wall with Chudley Cannon Quidditch posters. Comic and schoolbooks are piled
in a corner. Theres a tank full of frogspawn and Scabbers. Harry looks out
the window to see the gnomes re-entering the Weasley garden and says that
the Weasley house is the best house hes ever been in.
Questions:
1) When Harry thinks that Malfoy mightve sent Dobby, did you think that as
well? Did you think it was a simple joke? Or did you think there was
something more to Dobbys message?
2) What did you think when first read about Percy acting strange? Did you
automatically think that it was because of a girl?
3) How do you think the twins knew how to drive/fly a car? Theyre only
about 14 years old at the time and as wizards, would not be familiar with
it. And they obviously had to use magic to start it up (Ron uses his wand to
start the ignition in Chapter Five). Why didnt the Ministry send them a
warning for using magic during holidays?
4) Do you think the Weasley twins and Ron really thought they could get away
with Harry just showing up? The excuse Mum, look who turned up in the
night! is a pretty flimsy explanation. Do they really underestimate their
mother that much?
5) Do you think the Weasleys always de-gnome the garden by swinging the
gnomes around in circles? Or do you think it was just because it was a
punishment?
6) Obligatory Silly Question: do you want a Chudley Cannons poster? I sure
do...

(My first summary! Wasn't that fun?)
"Humans can evolve by themselves. In order to do so,
they have to know their actual structures.
Do you think about what you really are?"
