Well, here's one I know of to clarify for your timeline, if you care
to ask it. I am copying and pasting it directly from a long list I
have that I at some point in time intended to send to you regarding
the Lexicon. You will find it below the asterisks.
Even though this is sort of directed toward Steve, everyone should
please read it as well in case you know of any clear, corroborating
evidence I overlooked. Otherwise, we will see if JKR can confirm this
natural assumption.

A minor nitpick thing for the Lexicon timeline: Are James, Peter,
Remus, Sirius, Lily, and Severus all definitely in the same year? It
seems a natural assumption to say 'yes' and I believe it probably will
turn out in the books that that is the case. But I was wondering if
there is actually proof? We know that Remus says in PoA, chap. 18 the
words "in our fifth year" referring at least to himself, James and
Sirius if not Peter as well (the other Animagus). So that proves it
for at least three of the Marauders. But it doesn't prove it for Lily
and Severus (and possibly Peter). They could easily have gone to
school at the same time, but been a year or two older or younger.
Again this is unlikely, but it is a point, unless there is evidence I
overlooked (quite possible).
