There are a couple you missed. Prof. McGonagalll conjurs a fan from thin air
in CoS in order to get Nick to the Hospital Wing...
Which reminds me; What are the stories of the ghosts? We know nothing about
them aside from what house they were in.
Nearly Headless Nick was hit I think 47 (don't quote me on that) times in the
neck with a blunt axe. What did he do to deserve this beheading attempt? And
who did it? The two most likely theories are he either did something
considered criminal by another and they proceeded to behead him or a criminal
did it for some reason or another. I've also noticed Nick is the only ghost
whose real name we know
The Fat Friar is a cheerful ghost who shows no outward sign of his death like
Nick or The Baron. He was a Friar obviously but where? And how did he die? I
would like to think something interesting like poison or a curse but more
likely he died of natural cause
The Bloody Baron, a most mysterious ghost. His robes remain stained with
blood even after death. Peeves is terrified of him which leads me to believe
that Peeves knows all about him.
The Grey Lady, we know next to nothing about her. She hasn't even been named
in the books so far but appeared in SS/PS. A popular theory is that she is
really Rowena Ravenclaw but I doubt it as i'm sure a Founder's ghost wouldn't
stay if the others didn't
I really veered from the original subject but I couldn't stop the train iof
thought once it began! ^_^
