Hi I've been lurking, but I do have a comment on this:

Do you count as pure blood if one of your parents was muggle born? If not
then Tom Riddle himself was a mudblood.I don't have the books on me, but in
CoS, Tom Riddle tells us the his father was muggle born, so if above
question was not so that would prove that the slytherin house excepts
mudbloods. Also the hat was going to put Harry into Slytherin even though
Harry's mother was a muggle born.  Any thoughts on this?
