I'm reviving this old thread because I am wondering where to come out
on the Snape/vampire question. Does this thread pretty much sum up
the arguments that Snape is really a vampire brewing a potion to keep
himself safe, or is there more to it?

Is there any evidence in canon that Snape ever comes out during
daylight? I notice that in certain crucial scenes in GoF, he isn't
outside during the daytime (he is not present at the first task in
the afternoon, the second task in the morning, or the third task
after breakfast). Also, I found the dialogue between Crouch/Moody
and Snape on the stairs very odd. Snape says he can "prowl" the
castle, and Crouch/Moody tells him to "prowl away." How weird!

Cindy (who would look younger if she never came out during the day)
