Whew.....I'm really glad someone else asked this question because I
was wondering the exact same thing and it was bothering me so much
that I figured that it Had to have been discussed before.

Since Voldemort went through so much trouble to find the Potters and
the Potters went through so much trouble to hide from Voldemort,
there had to have been a reason. I think that there is some secret
or special power or knowledge that the Potters possess that Voldemort
wanted.

Somewhere at the end of PS/SS, Dumbledore tells Harry that there are
things about him that he would not be able to know or understand
until he was older. Does this have something to do with the vendetta
that Voldemort has against the Potters? (Again, please excuse the
lack of ability to quote but I listened to all four books on audio)

We know that Voldemort was at Hogwarts 50 years ago which would make
him somewhere in his 60's, a lot older than James and Lily. For him
to have wanted the Potters so badly, it had to have been big.

Rose (who still thinks she thinks way too much and gets really
confused)
