Dumbledore, a relative of Harry's?

I posted this a while ago, when the site was acting up, and it never 
got posted so I am trying again.

I have been thinking about Harry/Dumbledore again.  I still think 
that Harry is related to him somehow.  There have been a few 
arguments about the safety zone/Harry's relatives and how could 
Voldermort get to Harry at school if Dumbledore was a relative.  
Well, if you think about it, Harry was safe when Dumbledore was at 
school, HOWEVER, in SS, Dumbledore was called to London on MoM 
business when Harry met Voldermort, in CoS, Dumbledore was removed 
from the school by the Board of Governers and was off grounds and in 
GoF, Harry was transported to the graveyard so Harry was not at 
Hogwarts.  Is it possible that since Dumbledore would have to take 
Harry everywhere he went if Harry lived with him as a young child, 
that sending him to the Dursley's was the only real possibility?

Also when Harry goes to Dumbledore's office for the first time, he 
mentions that the doorknocker was a Gryffin.  Dumbledore also is in 
possession of Gryffindor's Sword.  Could Dumbledore also be a 
desecendent of Gryffindor?
