There's canon evidence, though, that Bill is short for Billius. That
was the name of the Weasley uncle who saw the Grim.
Still, I agree with you. This is getting too strained.
BCPFGR(G OR V)
However, if it really is Virginia, it goes
BCPFGRV, which is all alphabetical, except for Percy.
Or to take the male names.

And Percy's out of order.
So, I've never subscribed to a theory that places too much importance
on the order, but I think Percy's out-of-orderness could be symbolic.
But if you strenuously want to keep a pattern with several old fanfic
favourites.
