Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that Jo herself stated in a chat that Draco will NOT be redeemed. It made me sad to read that, because I would love for Draco to "see the light" and rebel against his father.
But then again... Jo can change her mind at any time....
Pertaining to the Accio/summoning charm: I, too, am of the mind that the golden egg had something on it to prevent it from being summoned. That was an excellent question... although it didn't occur to me as far as the golden egg, I DID wonder why the snitch couldn't be Accio'd.
