I have a confession to make. *looks abashedly at feet* I am a closet Ginny-Hater. Sorry to mislead you all for so long. ^_~ Actually, "hate" is probably too strong a word, but I really dislike the gal. In fact, I think people like her are the scourge of the earth. *sigh* Alright, I just...she's SO..argh. I just want to slap her sometimes. *has to take a moment to curb inherent violent tendencies* She just has no *pride* you know? Fawning over Harry and the like. Furthermore, it is very likely that she *was* the sender of the singing-valentine (al la the singing get-well card), and I mean, I felt so incredibly ashamed for her just reading that. Plus, she's giggling, immature, ..have I mentioned fawning already?

Although, to her credit, I do think she has improved greatly throughout the books. Her actions in GoF in regards to the Yule Ball were almost dignified. However, I can't like the girl. Whenever anyone ships for her and Harry I get this awful feeling of dread. I don't particularly like ships in general, and this one just...gives me the willies.

Another reason why I dislike her is because, in my mind, she is the anti-Hermione (who is my hero). I'm not saying that she and Hermione were/will ever be at odds, but she's SO...pre-teen-girly-esque, and Hermione stands for everything that is *not* of that particular mentality. Of course, there was the whole Lockhart thing, but, seriously, did H ever let that get in the way of anything important? Uh-uh. Hermione is courageous, determined, and intelligent. Ginny has always come across to me as a silly little girl. Devin described her as "sweet". WELL. *takes a deep breath here and tries to calm down* Sorry, I was getting a bit rant-y there. Anyway, being "sweet" is hardly a good quality. Some of the "sweetest" girls I know could eat you alive with the bat of an eyelash. They don't mean to hurt anyone, they just don't have the strength or the insight to take the right paths.

^_~ ahh, anyways, this is probably just another of my non-canonical based prejudices *sigh*..told you I was a hypocrite.

P.S. And I bet she listens to Nsync as well !!!!!! erm...or, well..the wizarding equivalent. ^_^ heh. nevermind me.
