My take on that:
I admit that I'm kind of partial to Ginny because she is a Weasley,
and I love all the Weasleys.
But from an objective point of view, I can't help but agree. I don't
know Ginny that well, but I did notice that she handled well her
disappointment that she's going with Neville when she had a chance
to go with Harry.
She may be a giggly kid in book 2 but I have seen her improved in
book 4. Too bad she was nowhere in sight in book 3.
And I kind of pity her. I can't help but think that she personifies
unrequited schoolgirl puppy love. I've gone through that during my
early teenage years. I can almost imagine Ginny's pain seeing Harry
dance with Paavati during the Yule Ball, while knowing that it was
really Cho Harry wanted to ask to the dance, and knowing that she,
Ginny, could have had a chance to be Harry's date if not for Neville.
I wish to se her grow up and what kind of role she would play in
book 5, since JK says that Ginny will play a greater role in OotP.
