Oops, lost an L there...let's change it to  Snape Has A Missus, But Always Conceals Her Existence, Lowering Overt Risk.

As for Hermione, seconds after sending that post I remembered that her shoulder of choice for weeping on when Harry and Ron were snubbing her was Hagrid's in PoA.  Interesting, isn't it?  Especially when you consider that Hermione is a swotty intellectual whereas Hagrid is the archetypal oaf with heart of gold.  Does this say something about Hermione?  Or, indeed, JKR (who based Hermione on herself)?
