Remus-- was he the only one?

So far I have seen no mention of this here. If you were used to
Latin and Roman history, the moment you saw a professor named Remus
Lupin you knew why he would be out sick while Snape gave homework on
how to recognize werewolves. Romulus and Remus were (supposedly)
twin boys abandoned at birth and nursed by a she-wolf, later to found
Rome and quarrel (you can see who won out by the city's name).
So, obviously Remus is a great name to give a character who might be
a werewolf... But is that all? If Remus was really his given name,
his parents were really asking for it! (Maybe he was either teased
into danger by his name or got the nickname afterwards...) If he is
a second son, where is Romulus? (and was he bitten as well or no?)
Remus is coming back in Book 5 so maybe we will learn more.
