Darrin hit it right on the nose.  Loyalty may be a good trait, just 
be sure it's for the right side.  Draco will be a DE, there's is no 
doubt in my mind about that.  You count how many times he refers 
to "my father" in all four books when something (for him) bad happens 
(detention in SS/PS, his "injury" from Buckbeak in PoA, Moody turns 
him into a ferret in GoF, just to name a few).  Draco's mindset is 
that Daddy's always going to be there to bail him out of trouble, so 
it's no question that he'll follow his father into Voldemort's inner 
circle, especially after his comments on the Hogwarts Express at the 
end of GoF.  Draco has chosen his side.

I used to not like Snape at all, but now that I've seen more of his 
choices and his decision to leave Voldemort, I have a bit more 
respect for him.  I still think Snape's behavior toward Harry and his 
friends needs to change, but Snape showed true courage when he left 
the DE's, knowing that Voldemort would want to hunt him down.
