Dragon's Heart string requires you kill the dragon. Can anyone
really imagine Dumbledore, leader of the Good guys using a
wand that killed a magical creature? At the same time, can
anyone out there imagine Lucius Malfoy, using Dark Magic &
killing Muggles w/ a wand that has a core of a unicorn's hair, the
purest creature there is? So I think the wand selection is a
"pre-Sorting Hat" sorting. Into good guys- unicorn hair, bad
guys-dragon heartstrings and could go either way

I don't think so...why make dragon heartstring wands at all, if the
people using them are bound to go bad? And there's only one
magical creature that is taboo to kill--the others are gleefully
powdered and pickled and used in potions class. Besides, I bet
Lucius would get a real kick out of AK'ing somebody with his
unicorn hair wand.
