<whines> NO NO NO NO NO. Hagrid cannot die. Period. If Hagrid dies I will
lose a part of my wittle ickle soul. ;)
With that out of the way....
I have often thought that the only reasonable death of Hagrid would be at the
hands of his own mum. However, until Madam Maxime admits to her
Giantess-ness, I will not be satisfied with this theory. She infuriated me by
denying to my beloved Hagird who and what she is. I do not want to see Hagrid
die. Literally, I think I will cry my eyes out and burn the book, which is of
course, why I have ordered three English copies- just in case. But, at this
point, within the discussion groups Hagrid is considered most likely to meet
an untimely demise.
But, I *do* think that if Hargid is our dead man in Book five, he must return
as a ghost. He has a duty to Harry. That alone is unfinished business....
Hagrid rescued Harry from the house of Lily and James. Hagrid rescued Harry
from the Dursleys and delivered the Hogwarts letter... Hagrid feels he has an
obligation to Harry and he will see it through.
-Snuffles.... who is very sad thinking of a dead Hagird.
