Who will die?

Oooh, I just think that it's *amazing* how everyone draws different
conclusions from the text.
Personally, I'm not worried about any of the Weasleys dying, except
that I can see Percy and/or one of the twins taking it hard. I could
even buy that Charlie/Bill might die too, since they seem somehow
more likely to get in the way of an attack because they're full-
fledged adults, but I sort of think that Arthur, Molly, Ron and Ginny
are good as gold and totally safe, just IMHO.
JKR's said in interviews that she knows who's gonna die already, and
all I can do is guess.
So, aside from students (and given Cedric, there are just so many
weird possibilities with students dying that I can't even begin to
imagine what she's going to do) I think that in the adult world,
Dumbledore's definitely toast at some point for simple plot reasons,
along with Lupin. IMHO, I think I'll start bawling when Lupin kicks
it, 'cause I really love his character, and he's always so pleasant
and cheerful. But I'm almost certain he's gonna go.
For some reason, I just think that Hagrid's safe. I can't explain
why... but maybe because *everyone* loves him so much. I mean, why
would Voldemort bother trying to kill him? Hagrid, IMHO, isn't much
of a threat to Voldemort's cause, really, unless you consider the bit
with the giants. Oh well - I just can't see it... probably for the
same reason that I can't see either of the Weasley parents getting it.
Sirius is another - I mean, I just think that he's okay because
Harry's already lost the rest of his family sans Dursleys. I don't
think that she'd kill off Sirius too - although he could get
permanently maimed or hurt in some way.
I think that Snape is totally, 100% safe. I can't figure it out, but
I just do. McGonagall seems likely to be offed, but I'd say that both
Lupin and Dumbledore seem *more* likely, IMHO.
I'm going on the premise of at least one major adult death in each
book from here to the end, and students along with that in numbers
that I couldn't really speculate on.
So, I'll venture: Lupin, Dumbledore, McGonagall.
-Tom, who just finished rereading GoF and who *still* is totally
shocked when Cedric dies, except that now it's worse because now he
knows it's coming and before he was just completely taken aback.
