<I don't agree with this interpretation myself. The Elixir was
stated to be able to prolong life, but no mention was ever made of it bringing
someone back to life. I would actually be more likely to believe unicorn
blood might be used in this situation. True, you've got the curse to deal
with (I'm half convinced it's a neurotoxin of some sort), but it's been stated
that it will bring someone back to life when nothing else can. To borrow from
The Princess Bride, if Harry were to end up *mostly* dead, unicorn blood would
have about the same effect as a miracle pill. ("The chocolate coating helps
it go down easier.") Use of unicorn blood would also give an ironic parallel
between Harry and Voldemort. Who knows? It may even somehow balance out the
use of Harry's blood in Voldemort's resurrection formula. Yeah, Harry would
be cursed for the rest
of his life, but it is a theatre of war and I suspect that would be counted as
an "acceptable loss".>

I now like the idea of the Elixer of Life bringing Harry back. You said that
it can't being anyone back to life, but if you think about it- Voldemort
didn't die immediately when the Avada Kadavra curse hit him. We all know that
afterward, he went to drink Unicorns blood. BUT Harry wouldn't have to do
that if there was some of the Elixer left. He would be "mostly dead" (thanks
for the wonderful reference to The Princess Bride) and then fed the Elixer.
Also, do you think JKR would have Harry die so young after his parents' fate?
They died young for him, so he could live a long life. I don't know if she
would do that to our hero.
