Not being sarcastic, but I can only assume that you are under the age
of 50, otherwise you would be well aware of this near univeral
phemomenon of time moving faster as you age.

Time truly is, in every sense, Relative. You are implying that time is
absolute, but the laws of physics would seem to contradict you.

Relative to a 10 year old boy, 10 years is a lifetime. Relative to a
700 year old man, 10 years is 1.4% of a lifetime; a very small amount
of time.

Consider how complex your lifetime has gotten in the years that you
have lived; car payment, mortgages, finances & investments, insurance,
utilities, work commitments, family commintments, friends - old and
new, other significant relationships & commitments. Now multiply that
by 700 years and I think life can get complicated. Plus an older
person knows the value of time. A young person 'spends' his time
quickly, where as an older person know that time well spend is better
than time quickly spend.

I still firmly believe that Nicholas Flamel is alive and that we will
see him in person in the story. I'm not sure what function he will
serve, but I'm confident he will be there.

Of course, only time will prove me right or wrong.

Just one man's opinon.
