Gillywater vs. Gillyweed

I am currently listening to PoA on tape and during the scene at the Three Broomsticks Professor McGonagall say gillywater like gills on a fish.  I would assume that if the reader said it wrong he would have been corrected, so I assume that's how it is supposed to be pronounced.
