Hm, *Hagrid* says the same thing. I wonder if he has any
personal experience or if he also repeats what he's been
taught.

Both Hagrid and Madame Maxime are half-giants, and both are
trying to keep this a secret.

I wonder what the reason is.
The (unfounded?) prejudice against giants by the rest of the WW?
Their own prejudice against giants?
Knowledge of giants that we don't have, yet, that makes them
not want to be associated with them?

I'm looking forward to meeting the giants in OotP, to make
up my own mind.
