I apologize if this has already been discussed. Did Snape say
anything damaging against Voldemort in his conversations with
Quirrell? We can assume that he didn't know where Voldemort was
hiding, for he would have shared that information with Dumbledore
(assuming that Snape can be trusted). If Snape said anything that
Voldemort considers disloyal, he will have a much more difficult
(and dangerous) role as spy in Books 5-7. Does anyone have any
thoughts about this?

Me: Actually, i never got the impression that Snape knew that
Voldemort was under the turban, but i have been thinking about
something similar and i'd like to hear what people's opinions are on
the following:

When Harry confronts Quirrel at the end of PS/SS, he is surprised to
find Quirrel and not Snape. Quirrel admits that Snape looks more like
the bad guy and goes on to explain all the story. He admits that
Snape suspected him all along, that's why Snape followed him on
Halloween, and talked to him in the forest, etc. But i'm wondering...
what might have been whatever gave Snape the idea of Quirrel trying
ot steal the stone? At what point do you think he starts suspecting
Quirrel?

I do wonder if Snape noticed that Harry's scar hurt when he sat on
the Gryffindor table after being sorted and looked up to the high
table to see Snape and Quirrel with the funny turban. We can only
guess, we may never know.
