Unwilling sounds more likely. Actually, Dumbledore went to great lengths 
(I'm thinking PoA here) NOT to acknowledge the depth of Snape's hate for 
James and especially Sirius. Snape makes no secret of it, and 
Dumbledore's reaction is dismissive, like he does not think Snape really 
means it.
