Me:
I'm right with you on that one Paige! I came to the exact same 
conclusion as I was reading people's comments. When I read 
the book, I too was of the popular opinion that V. left Harry's body 
when Harry's heart swelled with love of Sirius. But it is also at 
this moment that Harry is totally accepting of death- and this is 
what V. cannot tolerate. Death is his biggest fear. I would even 
say that V. does know love in his own twisted way. He "loves" 
power, causing pain, etc. He loves being among the living.

So, while Harry has in abundance qualities that Voldemort will 
never have or understand, such as love, humanity, compassion-- 
He also has something else. Harry would not hesitate to 
sacrifice himself to save others.
