OoP: Has Anyone Seen Redeemable Draco???

Can someone point me to the passages that indicate Draco was an 
abused child?  I had read about the opinion that Draco was not 
responsible for his behavior because his father abused him.  May be 
my dislike of this character made me less sensitive in picking up 
hints that he was abused by his parents.

Draco always was extremely well informed about the wizarding world.  
Most likely his father was the one who fed him information.  I am 
not sure that he was neglectd in that regard.  Yes, and the posts 
and parcels he always received.    Bribery or guilty feelings from 
the senders aside, someone cared enough to send them.

I wonder if the abused idea stemmed from the way Lucius Malfoy was 
portrayed in the Chamber of Secrets movie.  The actor had 
deliberately put the abusive, mean father spirit into his acting.
