I don't know, I think they actually loved each other, I cannot 
remember where and fear my copy of OoP is still with my girlfriend, 
but I remember either Lupin or Sirius saying something about Lilly 
actually not hating James and their dating, so I think they really 
loved each other and neither new or cared about the Prophecy until 
perhaps after Harry was born. I doubt that is something Dumbledore 
would have just told anyone and everyone.
