-----------------You know, I've always wondered about this--I know a 
wand of an expelled student is broken, and that person is then 
officially forbidden to use magic, but two questions: (1) If they've 
grown up doing magic--even without a wand--how can they just stop 
cold-turkey? and (2) If they've been wrongfully expelled as Hagrid 
was--is there some sort of equivalency course they can take to catch 
up (like an American GED for a high-school equivalency degree). Is 
Hagrid forever stuck at the level he was at when he was expelled, 
and can he never buy himself a new wand?
