Questions not specifically OOP

Hi all!

On studying the books for a project I'm doing I've come up with a 
load of questions.  These relate mostly to PS/SS but have echoes 
through teh rest of the books.  I'll probably post more questions as 
my studies continue.

What I'm asking for here is opinions and any canon references anyone 
can provide.  The question headings are SQIBS, WANDS, HOGWARTS and 
one AGE question.  I have had a look at past messages especially 
about the age question but haven't found anything dealing with this 
specific person...  So here goes.

SQUIBS
1- Do Squibs get magical schooling? 
2- To be a Squib must you have two magical parents? 
3-Do Sqibs get wands? (ie Filch's Quick Spell Course is that all
non-wand magic?)
4-And if they don't get wands how do they know they're a Squib? 

WANDS

5-When and why does a wizard get a new wand? (Ron has Charlie's OLD 
wand)
6- When a wand is snapped purposefully is this because committed a 
crime or expelled? 
7- Where did all DE's/ Sirius etc get wands in ootp?
8- Where was LV's wand when he was incorporeal?
9- Can a broken wand be fixed? (Could Ron have fixed his after the 
Whomping Willow?)

HOGWARTS

10- Do many students leave after OWLS or do `all' stay on for
NEWTS? 
11- Can you only leave school if you have reached 17 years old? 
12- Which teachers eat in the Great Hall?
13- Which teachers live in Hogwarts?
14- Why did Dumbledore FLY to urgent Ministry meeting? (If it was so 
urgent couldn't he just have left HW's grounds and apparated?)

AGES

15- How old is  Mr Ollivander.

MINISTRY

16- Who was Minister for Magic prior to Dumbledore being offered job?
(I know it's mention in OOP who had the job before Fudge - but my 
mums got my copy)
