Hey .. this was going to be one of my questions, but I wanted to do
some additional reading .. anyway, my thoughts so far

WHAT I BELIEVE:
1) Harry's blood was part of the rebirth of Voldemort
2) Harry saw himself as a snake that desired greatly to attack
Voldemort when the made eye contact during OOP
3) The silver instrument shows a snake divided into two snakes
4) One is now part of Harry, just like it is part of Voldemort

WHAT I AM CONSIDERING AS POSSIBLY POSSIBLE:
5) So what is the snake that is show divided into two? Is it the
original Slytherin? Could it be Slytherin's ancestral archetype,
a meta-slytherin so to say?

Could Voldemort get his powers from 'channelling' Slytherin? Could
Harry now potentially channel too? Could the same magic that
prevents Harry from being possessed by Voldemort allow him to
control the spirit of Voldemort?

If Voldemort channels the 'meta-sytherin', wouldn't he then be
Slytherin's last true ancestor? Would that explain the typo/non-typo
debate about that particular PS quote?!

If Voldemort channels either Sytherin or some archetypal meta-
sytherin, could Dumbledore be channeling as well?!?
