Forgive me if this has already been brought up, but I was thinking
(which is usually not good) about Snape and Quirrill (I've never
been a good speller). In PS/SS, Quirrill is acting under the
influence of Voldemort and Snape is working against him every step
of the way, granted he doesn't know the Voldemort is involved.
Snape acts to protect the stone from getting into the wrong hands
(presumably the wizards have an inkling that Voldemort would try to
steal it) and wants to make sure Q's "loyalties" are in the right
place. Now that Snape is apparently resuming his role as a spy for
the Order (at least, I assume that is what he is doing), wouldn't
Voldemort remember that Snape's loyalties now lie with Dumbledore
and he was deliberatly taking actions to prevent Voldemorts return?
I could be off base, but, like I said, it was a thought.

Adam, who would join Snape's Army if he could find the hidden room
