In no place do I read that Sirius is poor. We know, he is in hiding
and as such, he may have problems getting to his money. However, that
does not mean he is poor. He inherited the family home; it follows
that he also inherited the family money as well.

What I find interesting, is who inherirs from him. Since, Harry is
his godson and he hates his living relatives, it would probably be
Harry. I truly think Harry would have problems with this. His
reaction to Sirius's death leads to believe he would see such an
inheritance as blood money. I find that an interesting storyline.

I know from experience that people have a tendiency to see
inheritance as blood money while still in grief. Harry never knew of
his inheritance from his parents until he had time to deal with his
grief, so he rightly did not take this view. However, his grief over
Sirius is new. He would have the blood money syndrome and want to be
rid of it as fast as he could, much like the reaction of the thousand
he won at Cedric's expense.

What do other's think?
